What's good for the goose is good for the gander

We've been seeing and reading a lot lately, about the double standard in our society, with the use of charged words. It's ok for blacks to call each other the "N" word or for gays to call each other the "F" word, but not for others to.

But if these words are derrogatory when those minorities use them, they're derrogatory when anyone outside of those minorities uses them too.

So I'd like to suggest a new campaign to promote human dignity from now on. Whenever we see or hear or read someone using those words, even if they are members of those minorities, let's say the following to them:

Please don't use that language, it's an affront to the dignity of human beings.

Perhaps that will bring awareness to the people who are perpetuating these double standards, and help bring those standards to an end, giving dignity and respect to all.

Today at the Pow Wow

We enjoyed the Pow Wow today, for the most part, but even though we're pagans ( I'm a Panentheist ) we're accepting of other peoples' religions and felt that the announcer's numerous comments about Catholicism, being a "recovering Catholic", etc., were really obnoxious and uncalled-for. We didn't even have to be Christians to feel that they were offensive.

The long stream of comments from that man, along with joking about abusive childhood beatings ( child abuse is no joke! ), really tainted the Pow Wow for us this year, and we'd urge you to talk to him about these things, and about staying focused on the common reasons and topics that we're all coming together there for, or not allowing him to do the announcements at future Pow Wows, if he can't control himself better.

Please ask him to remember that it's not the Christian religion that harmed the Native American peoples, but the abuse of that religion.

Drug companies propaganda campaign

The drug companies must be freaking out at the possibility that the government would step in on behalf of Medicare recipients and negotiate lower group drug price demands. They're running lots of expensive propaganda ads now, urging people to "keep the government out of" it. But "it" would just bring down prices for medicare recipients, isn't that a good thing?

I think their campaign is disgusting and misleading.

Oil as a political weapon

We were wondering about this latest jump in gas prices and I think I've figured it out now.

Oil is being used as a political weapon against the United States.

You'll notice that oil prices had been dropping, and gas prices with them. Then suddenly about a month ago, they started going up again. Why?

Well we heard on the news that OPEC had started talking about cutting back production because of the price drops. When prices jumped up because of that news, they recently decided that production cuts weren't needed.

Who is OPEC? Why in large part they're political enemies of the United States, like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela, who are making huge profits off of our oil addiction and using it against us politically, trying to bring this country down, or into the hands of marxists like Hugo Chavez, a good friend of Fidel Castro.

This is all the more reason why we should be searching hard for alternative energy sources to power our vehicles, which are not dependent on foreign oil. When we develop them, we can tell these enemies to take their oil and their dirty politics and shove them where the sun doesn't shine.

Ben Stein - a marxist?!

Ben Stein commented on Fox News' O'Reillly, that he's a conservative but that he's be willing to see more taxes on people who make $5 million or more a year, to pay for health care for all poor Americans. How much more? He claims about 3%. O'Reilly agrees with it.

I'm sure that sounds "reasonable" to most conservatives and to all liberals, but it's besides the point.

It would punish success even more than they do now and it amounts to marxist redistribution of wealth.

"From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs."
- Karl Marx

Ben Stein, advocating more marxism.

Taxation is slavery and involuntary servitude, it contradicts the 13th Amendment, and we cannot possibly have a free and fair society unless we end tax slavery, make the government run solely on voluntary contributions, and prohibit it from initiating force.

Any amount of government that the people would not willingly support is slavery and morally wrong.

“I've used the Civil Rights Act as an example of the way a well-intentioned government program grows and causes far more problems than it solves. But it is just one example.

All government programs expand to encompass the political demands of people who want to take advantage of its benefits. And almost all government programs eventually do the opposite of what their original backers had asked for.
Whatever social reform you may envision, the version the government implements will be something completely different. However lofty your purpose, it will be debased by compromises in the legislature, in the administration of the program by thousands of government employees, and in the settling of the inevitable disputes.

Not only that, the program is likely to grow far bigger and more complicated than what you wanted. And someday it will evolve into a force opposite to your intentions.

You aren't a dictator. You can't control the actions of politicians, bureaucrats, and judges.

Please remember that the next time you think some law will solve some great social problem.” – Harry Browne

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Cetirizine 1

Cetirizine 2

Cetirizine 3

Drug companies are selling brand names to Americans and generics of the same drugs to the rest of the world!

Yes, you heard it right. The drug companies are selling brand names to Americans and generics of the same drugs to the rest of the world!

I have had in my possession, evidence of this, for over a year now, but can't get anyone to listen or report on it. The big TV show commentators like O'Reilly, Brian Wilson ( who just had a piece on prescription drugs today ) and Glenn Beck, probably get tens of thousands of emails a day, so mine gets lost in the shuffle.

But it's true. I have proof! I have allergies and mild asthma and for years I've been using Zyrtec for them. But gradually, the insurance companies have gone to formularies, so they only cover cheap drugs and we have to pay more and more for the brand names. So a few years ago, I had to start getting my Zyrtec from Canada. Only it's not Zyrtec there, it's generic cetrirzine hydrochloride and it costs less. Ok, some people say it costs less from Canada because their socialist medicine system forces drugs to be sold for less up there. But one day, this Canadian pharmacy I was dealing with, told me that I could get it for even less money, from an "FDA approved drug company in India". Ok, I was game, I need to save money, so I ordered some.

What arrived was a package of cetirizine hydrochloride from a plant in India but it was a plant owned and run by GSK - Glaxo Smith Kline, the same drug company that only sells the same drug as Zyrtec here in the United States, because they think Americans are rich and can pay much more for it, in fact double, triple or four times more in some cases! And retired and disabled people in this country are being forced to pay outrageous prices for these drugs, when the rest of the world gets generics for 30-50% of those prices, for one simple reason.

No, not because we don't have socialist medicine. Because our government makes it illegal for Americans to buy competitively on the global market and be able to shop for those generics that are being sold only outside the United States! It amounts to artificial price controls dictated by the government, apparently to help their campaign contributors in the drug companies to make more profits by preventing competition with themselves outside U.S. borders!

This is an utter outrage and Americans are dying because of this, because so many of them can't afford to pay high prices for brand name drugs and so they don't take the drugs they need!

In effect, the government has been initiating force against Americans and preventing them from participating in the free market outside our borders, to save money and be able to afford the drugs they need!

The government does this on the pretense of protecting us from the alleged possibility of getting bad drugs from outside the United States, but it's a false pretense. The lab that provided the cetirizine hydrochloride to me, was run by GSK! So all they have to do is legislate that all drugs purchased by Americans for import to them into the United States, must be from FDA approved or certified labs in other countries. So simple, so why didn't they do it? Because they're lining the pockets of their drug company campaign donors, while screwing over the American people, and it must stop now!

Juan Hernandez and Smilin' Bob

Juan Hernandez Reminds Me Of Smilin' Bob

Juan Hernandez seems like nothing but a grinning apologist and spin doctor for the illegal invasion that’s taking over our southwest because our government doesn’t have the political will or the intestinal fortitude to stop it. ( Glenn Beck used another word; cojones - that means intestinal fortitude. )

But you know, he also comes across to me like a Mexican version of “Smilin’ Bob” on those “natural male enhancement” commercials. Maybe he has a less disingenuous-sounding future doing those.

“Here’s Juan, quite the man about town in Maywood, California, where he’s experiencing a swelling of pride in the illegal invasion of the United States, at seeing the Mexican flag flying high instead of the U.S. flag, on that stiff hard tall long erect rigid pole in front of the post office…”.

Emergency food supplies

We were in Costco Saturday and saw these white 5 gallon sized buckets of emergency food for sale. $109 for something like 270 meals, enough to feed 2 people for about 45 days. But they were giving out samples and the damned things tasted like pig barf, or like they might have been made from restaurant discards.

Then we watched the latest version of War Of The Worlds last night, the one with Tom Cruise ( done by Spielberg ) . It was very well done and could scare the hell out of you. ( especially with our 270 watt 6.1 channel surround sound here :-)

So I was thinking, you know, an emergency food supply isn't such a bad idea, in case something extreme should happen. Maybe not anything as incredible as an alien invasion, but what if we got into it with Iran and they managed to nuke a dozen American cities at the same time?

But then I thought, wait a minute. We don't need those disgusting MRE style emergency food supply buckets. Well, maybe we could have one or two around for side dishes, but the main course is here already.

We have guns and at least 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo for the AK and SKS.

Liberal pacifists! They're unarmed and they're all over the place. Food on the hoof!

And if you're lucky, you might even find a nice corn fed vegan or two.

It was good enough for Colorado's most famous cannibal, Alferd Packer. :-)

In fact at CU in Boulder they were having annual Alferd Packer Day raw meat eating contests, until they were informed that eating raw meat might be hazardous to your health.

Now my main question is; Are liberal pacifists considered red or white meat, and what kind of wine would be appropriate. :-)

“There are only three kinds of people:

Predators ( i.e., those who cannibalize their own species) alpha

Prey ( i.e., those who allow themselves to be eaten ) beta

Those who refuse to be either ( i.e., an armed libertarian ) gamma

If you’re not predatorial ( the first prerequisite of gamma ), yet don’t have the will or training to defend yourself, then you are by default prey. As the harshly accurate saying goes:

There are no victims, only volunteers. “ -- Boston T. Party

CNN: "Tax Cheats"

CNN had a little segment today on "tax cheats", people who "don't pay their fair share", some of whom even have offshore accounts to avoid taxes.

Being taxation is the moral equivalent of slavery, involuntary servitude and armed robbery, this is a little like a burglar whining because he couldn't find or get into your safe.

In fact avoiding taxation is a national passtime for the very reason that tax slavery has become so oppressive over the past century. "The power to tax is the power to destroy".

When this country was started, overall average taxation amounted to 2% of each person's income. Now it amounts to what? 40%? 50%? This means that the average person is enslaved by the government for half of each working year.

Is it fair game to try to avoid slavery?

I think that's the real topic that the socialists running CNN should be made aware of.

Why are we rewarding Lebanon?

News reports are saying that the U.S. is sending $30 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon now. Why?

What were the lebanese people thinking when they embraced Hezbollah and allowed them to build concrete bunkers in homes all over the country with rocket launchers aimed at Israel? What were they thinking when they allowed them to build underground concrete bunker management offices in Beirut?

Are the lebanese people not to be held responsible for this?

They’re saying that 40% of the lebanese population are hard core Hezbollah supporters. What about the rest? How could they sit idly by and allow all that to happen, then watch Hezbollah start an all-out war against Israel, without thinking that they would be held accountable too?

Why are we rewarding such behavior with even one dollar of U.S. aid?

What a disgusting thought, helping people who are responsible for allowing and even assisting their country being turned into a vast terrorist base camp. And let’s not forget the Bekaa Valley of northeast Lebanon in this whole equation, where rumors have it that Saddam’s WMDs may have been moved, before the U.S. invasion of Iraq. How interesting if the Israelis were to invade the whole of Lebanon now, and have a look inside the Bekaa Valley area. What would they find? Indeed. That alone could implicate Syria, to the point where war against that country might become inevitable for the U.S.

No, it’s time to put our foot down with these sponsors and delegators of terrorism in the region. Massive numbers of people have been killed in Iraq, by the foreign fighters and suicide bombers ( al qaeda and/or Hezbollah? ) that Iran and Syria have sent into that country to initiate force on their behalf, in their all-out attempts to ensure that the U.S. fails and they fall back under another brutal dictatorship.

Iran would love to move in and take the shia parts of Iraq after a U.S. failure, and no doubt Syria would love to take over the sunni areas.

Now it turns out that Lebanon was turned into a terrorist base nation by these nations, that are some of the greatest forces of evil in the world today.

On the very day that the U.S. was asking for sanctions against Iran for their development efforts to make nuclear weapons, Iran told their dogs Hezbollah to attack Israel through Lebanon. How outrageous.

The U.S. doesn’t need to attack Iran and Syria with ground armies, we can utterly devastate them with our air forces. Israel has shown great restraint in only attacking the rocket launchers in Lebanon, they could have leveled the whole country to the ground. Think of what the U.S. could do to Iran and Syria from the air.

It’s time that we gave Iran and Syria an ultimatum: Get out of Lebanon and Iraq and leave them alone, and right now, or else the U.S. will destroy Iran and Syria. We can do it, and obviously brutal overwhelming force is the only thing that these evil dictator terrorist perpetrators will respect.

Israeli "self defense"?

This whole recent episode started when Hezbollah kidnapped an Israeli officer, then two more and killed several others. So Israel began military strikes against Hezbollah in Gaza and Lebanon, which were met with massive terrorist missile strikes against Israel, by Hezbollah missiles that had been built up in Lebanon for the past six years since Israel withdrew from that country.

Many people defend Israel by saying that they “have a right to self defense”. But hold on a minute. Self defense? Let’s “tell it like it is”.

Self defense is when someone is attacked and they defend themselves. If that first officer had been attacked and had defended himself, it would have been “self defense”.

If Israel had been attacked by a military force and had defended itself, it would have been national defense.

But what is it when a nation has one of its soldiers abducted and proceeds with massive military strikes against the organization that perpetrated it?

"The necessary consequence of man's right to life is his right to self-defense. In a civilized society, force may be used only in retaliation & only against those who initiate its use. All the reasons which make the initiation of physical force an evil, make the retaliatory use of physical force a moral imperative. If some 'pacifist' society renounced the retaliatory use of force, it would be left helplessly at the mercy of the 1st thug who decided to be immoral. Such a society would achieve the opposite of its intention: instead of abolishing evil, it would encourage & reward it." - Ayn Rand, "The Nature of Government" , from The Virtue of Selfishness ( 1961 )

Retaliation, that’s what it is, and I suspect that the nations that support Israel are reluctant to use that correct term because of the appeasement-advocating pacifist left that’s giving them enough grief over just the idea of self defense.

But as Rand said, it’s a moral imperative, lest others think that they can get away with such acts repeatedly. Give a mouse a cookie and it will ask for a glass of milk.

So self defense is when a person defends themselves during an attack. National defense is when a nation defends itself during an attack. But retaliation is a perfectly legitimate moral act that can happen after the original initiation of force has been gotten away with.

Hezbollah blatantly kicked over a hornet’s nest and is now paying the consequences, which have proven fatal to many of their numbers so far and will prove fatal to many more in the future. The fact that the cowardly pigs had to embed their rocket launchers among the civilian population that they’ve been doing “charity works” amongst for all these years is no act of charity in the end. No more than the “charity work” that the Taliban was doing in Afghanistan. The true motives of these terrorist organizations are eventually revealed in all their naked evil. The Taliban was using Afghanistan as a global terrorist training camp during its “charity work”. Hezbollah was using Lebanon to embed tens of thousands of missiles among the civilian population during its “charity work”. Those are the results of agreeing to receive the “charity” of evil people. Remember that muslims.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it

And the fact remains that Iran delegated the initiation of force against Israel by Hezbollah, on the very day that sanctions against Iran were beginning to be discussed and demanded in the UN for its nuclear weapons development program. Can you even imagine what would happen if the present rulers of Iran obtained nuclear weapons?

The fact remains that Iran and Syria are both deeply involved in delegating the initiation of force against the Iraqi people in the horrible mess that continues in that country, as well as that massive six year missile buildup in Lebanon. Therefore few liberty loving people would ( or should ) lose much sleep if the hornet’s nest attacked and devastated both of those countries in retaliation now too.

In fact it’s long past time that the U.S. retaliated against both of those nations for keeping Iraq a living hell for the people of that recently freed nation.

Like Rand said, it’s a moral imperative and the freer nations involved are only encouraging and rewarding the thugs if they don’t retaliate massively against them for all their foul misdeeds of the past few years.

If we can't shut down the United Nations...

So many people complain that the UN isn't good for doing anything, for taking action to solve all the world's problems, so they say it should be shut down.

There are a lot of very good reasons why the UN should be shut down but if we really think about it, their lack of actions shouldn't be one of them.

They are one of the most dangerous organizations in the world, to individual liberty ( true human rights ), being they hold the potential to become a one-world Big Brother style nanny state government, and global dictatorship. They'd even be supported by global taxation which they propose, and strengthened by their civilian disarmament program, which would eliminate all possible resistance to their tyrannical rule.

Now they want to make “international law”, that every nation would have to obey. But you can’t have laws without enforcement, and that’s where they become very, very scary.

The organization was originally founded though, with the simple intention of having a place where nations could gather for diplomatic talks, and hopefully avoid wars by so doing. It hasn’t worked out, has it. But like so many bureaucratic government supported programs, they eventually and inevitably grew way beyond their original intended purpose. They now exist as a huge global bureaucracy, sucking up massive amounts of money from member nations, funded not voluntarily but by tax slavery of course.

But even the Republicans in this country, who have moved away from classical conservativism and into solidly “middle of the road moderate” coercive collectivism, don’t have the political will or courage to shut the UN down completely and pack it off to France.

So if we have to put up with the continued dangerous existence of the UN and can’t get it shut down, we should at least be satisfied with limiting it’s functionality to “just talking” and we should staunchly resist the organization doing anything more than “just talking”, because that’s when it truly becomes the most dangerous.

MY MIDEAST OBSERVATIONS AND PREDICTIONS

Because one soldier was kidnapped, Israel started bombing gaza, then Hezbollah in Lebanon started rocketing Israel and also kidnapping their soldiers. Things are flaring up even worse in the mideast and it appears to be inspired by the usual bad characters in Iran and Syria. They are bound and determined that there will be no free states in the mideast, period, and that Iran will develop nuclear weapons.

Iran is hoping to stall any resistance in the UN until they achieve that goal. Iran and Syrian are definitely behind this latest flare up, as the theocratic anti-semitic dictatorship in Iran behave like spoiled children who have been told that they can't have that latest nuclear toy that they want so badly.

In France, quisling Chirac said that Israel's response was "disproportionate". But Israel is surrounded by beligerent islamofascist states that want to destroy them and kill all the jews in the world if they could. In fact Iran and Syria have been pouring fighters and arms into Iraq to try to defeat the U.S. there and cause Iraq to fail as a relatively free nation and become a dictatorship terrorist base, like those two countries are.

Would Chirac call such a response "disproportionate" if France had beligerent forces on their borders, kidnapping and murdering their soldiers and raining down rockets on them and threatening to destroy them? Probably. The french seem to have become the world's quisling weasels in this global conflict.

The price of oil is heading upwards because of all this, again today. Nervous futures markets.

I'm getting the sense that Iran is allying with al qaeda and will continue to inflame things until the U.S. has no other choice but to go to war with them to. As if their support of the terrorist insurgents in Iraq wasn't bad enough, the situation now is becoming intolerable.

What President Bush should do now, if he has the good sense to, is to ask Congress for a declaration of war against islamofascist terrorism anywhere in the world that it exists. No state should be allowed to sponsor attacks on the United States or other countries under the guise of wanting to dominate the world for radical Islam. No state should be a safe haven for the likes of Osama Bin Laden and al qaeda.

And indeed the U.S. may be forced to attack Iran now, the government of Iran appears to want it and be pushing for it. If that happens, Americans should be prepared for direct attacks by Iranian cells within this country. Iran is much larger and better organized than al qaeda by itself and if they ally with al qaeda against the U.S., it may be impossible to prevent direct attacks against the U.S. mainland.

Mark my words, this looks like it's heading for some very serious times now. Iran and Syria must be stopped, one way or another, and it doesn't look like it's going to be peacefully.

Then we also have to deal with North Korea, where their totalitarian dictator is threating everything from South Korea and Japan to the mainland United States too, with nuclear attacks, if we won't support his failed Communist regime with goods, food and lots of money. Nuclear blackmail folks. Where will that end up?

The U.N. Should Be Renamed

Unless you believe the conspiracy theorists, the U.N. was never meant to be a one-world-government or a New World Order. It was originally allegedly meant to be a place where nations could meet for diplomatic talks, instead of going to war with each other.

But there is no unity as far as the “united” part goes. The organization doesn’t even represent the people of the world, it’s essentially only a meeting place for the coercive collectivist (“mob rule” comes to mind ) dictators and tyrants that rule so many nations. As such, these people represent only the political interests of those in power. For that reason it shouldn’t rightfully ever be a government of the whole planet, in fact it should never be allowed to be. It’s potentially the most dangerous organization to freedom – individual rights, on the face of the earth.

So what is the U.N. good for then? Well not much, so many of us freedom loving people would say. They have been utterly incapable of even solving problems in the world, with various bickering polarized factions only throwing words at each other and achieving nothing. They’ve been incapable of stopping the various genocides that have taken place on their watch, and we can only usually sit back appalled by the fact that these things continue to happen and the U.N. won’t do a thing.

They won’t even help stabilize Iraq now, so that the fledgling democracy there can have a chance to work, preferring that President Bush and the U.S. fail, and the region turns into a huge islamofascist caliphate terrorist training base with the goal of terrorizing and taking over the world.

When it came to the time that the U.S. and our allies had had enough of Saddam Hussein, the U.N. wanted to discuss it for a few more years. When North Korea threatens nuclear blackmail on the United States ( give us tens of billions in welfare to support our utterly failed communist totalitarian dictatorship or we’ll nuke you! ), the U.N. wants to discuss it for a few more years.

About the best that can be hoped for, are never ending discussions and sometimes resolutions to encourage or discourage things, but if things are to be seriously done, nations must act unilaterally or in coalitions outside of the U.N., because the U.N. is essentially good for nothing but talk.

Many of us who still hold out the hope of freedom for the world, think that it should be shut down, or perhaps moved to France and that the U.S. should end all funding and withdraw from it. It holds great potential danger and is essentially good for nothing. No redeeming value.

But at the very least, if our own coercive collectivist government refuses to withdraw from the U.N., the organization should be renamed to reflect the truth of what it stands for, and is good for. Talk.

Talk is the cheapest thing in the world, indeed talk is free. Anyone can talk about anything at any time, on a street corner or in their own home. And we all know that saying about opinions. Like that analogous body orfice, everyone has one.

So I think it’s time to rename the U.N., to “tell it like it is”, so that people will no longer hold out hope of it being anything more than a waste of New York City real estate and a great big building full of hot air that sucks up tax money like pouring it down a giant rat hole.

What about renaming the U.N. as the “Opining Nations”, the O.N., and then placing a plaque above the entrance, that says; “Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here”.

Colorado's New Smoking Ban In Bars

As of July 1st, Coloradans won't be able to legally light up in most bars, except for the usual loopholes and exceptions.

So they're discussing this heatedly on usenet and the anti-smoking people are arguing the health merits of the new laws, never mind that it infringes private property rights even more.

The irony of it. Here are a bunch of people who think that tobacco smoking should be banned on private property because it causes much disease and death, so they can go DRINK ALCOHOL, which also causes much disease and death.

Democrats Should Talk About "Quagmires"

In recent years the Democratic Party has been taken over by the radical left socialist faction. When President Bush invaded Iraq, after approving it in the first place, they hit the roof of course and started using it as partisan political attack ammo. Of course they were led by Commissar Ted Kennedy whining "quagmire!... Vietnam!".

But the Democrats can hardly afford to talk, when it comes to "quagmires" and especially Viet Nam.

Democrat Harry Truman got this country into the Korean "Conflict" ( translation: WAR ) and then along with the rest of the UN coalition at the time, didn't have the fortitude to win it against China's interference, so they settled for dropping back to the 38th parallel and "cut and ran".

Democrat JFK got us into Viet Nam, which started off with advisors and then developed into a full blown war ( "conflict" ) as he tried to keep communism from taking over that country by supporting a corrupt dictatorship in the south. Johnson continued his war after JFK was killed, and only Republican President Nixon would withdraw U.S. troops finally.

And I might add that while Iraq is being done with all volunteers, both of those wars were fought using conscripted slaves, known as draftees, all the while in violation of our 13th Amendment which prohibits slavery and involuntary servitude ( Except for it being partially repealed by the 16th Amendment allowing taxation, and except apparently, if the government wants to have a military draft. ).

Also under Democrat JFK, we had the now-forgotten Bay of Pigs invasion, in which JFK sent an invasion force of Cuban patriots to take out Castro, and then cut and ran when they were fighting on the beaches, leaving them to be killed or captured and tortured in Castro's brutal stinking prisons.

Do you see the pattern here?

If anyone shouldn't be talking about quagmires, it's the Democrats with their history. They know how to do quagmires right, and they're masters of how to not have the political determination to win, but they're great when it comes to "cut and run".

Al Gore: The sky is falling!

Al Gore is gaining all kinds of fame and kudos among fellow marxists and environazis for his new movie that sounds the alarmism on "global warming".
The sky is falling!

He says we only have 10 years before it's too late! Oh horrors!

Maybe we should sign the Kyoto Treaty, which forces the U.S. to establish expensive anti-pollution laws while exempting China!

How much is the earth warming? Oh 1 degree, enough to cause the oceans to rise 1/10 of an inch per year, or 10 inches over the next 100 years.

Can you see that 1/10" tsunami approaching? Help!

Should we start building an ark and collecting pairs of animals here in Denver Al?

LOL!

But thinking of this will warm us, the next time we get a 4 foot snow storm like we did in Denver a couple of years ago.

Zarqawi hair transplants?

Have you noticed something funny in the death photos of Abu Mussab Al-Zarqawi? Plugs? Did this guy have some really crummy looking hair transplants done, or what?

http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2006/06/10/PH2006061000637.jpg

Is that what these al qaeda guys do with all the money they collect from their followers? Get vain western indulgences like hair transplants?

Abu Musab al Zarqawi – A Party Is In Order

The best definition of success that I’ve ever found was this one:

Success is the progressive realization of postive worthwhile predetermined goals. - Success Motivation Institute

In that sense, Abu Musab al Zarqawi could never have been considered successful. He was a cold blooded murdering terrorist thug who killed thousands of innocent people, often in the most heinously primitive ways. If someone had opened some prison doors and freed all the mad dog murderers after the downfall of Saddam Hussein’s brutal dictatorship, he’s the kind of guy we can imagine being turned loose on society.

He achieved no positive goals by his murders. He will be remembered by the world as nothing but a mad dog murderer. No memorials will ever be publicly built to honor him. No schools, bridges, hospitals or Iraqi children will be named for him. If he is remembered, even a decade from now, it will only be with the notoriety due a rabid mass murderer. His name and memory will only be cursed by decent people everywhere. This is not a man that decent people anywhere can imagine being in any kind of heaven with virgins. No, decent people can only imagine him suffering the worst damnations of hell for eternity.

I heard years ago of a Jewish holiday called Purim, where they bake pastries filled with prunes to symbolize the dark heart of an evil king named Hamen, and they tell the story involving Esther. Every time they mention Hamen’s name, all the kids make noise to cover it up with these ratchety rotary noise makers. That’s the kind of evil that Abu Musab al Zarqawi will be remembered for.

But I’d like to suggest that a party is in order this weekend.

Back in the ‘70's I was working at a company with an engineer-supervisor who no one really liked. He was an incompetent phony, so incompetent that they finally had him sitting in his office reading magazines ( didn't assign him anymore engineering work ) until he got so bored that he quit. Every time someone would leave that company, they would have a going away party for them. But when this guy left, the thought occurred to me that going away parties are only for people you like. When someone leaves that no one likes, they should wait until they're gone and have a "Went-Away Party" because everyone's so glad they went away!

So with Zarqawi and his murdering thug friends, who were finally brought to justice by the fed-up Iraqi people working in concert with coalition forces, everyone should throw a little "Went Away Party" this weekend in his dishonor. So glad you're gone Abu! The world is a little bit better place because of it.

Yours In Liberty,

- Melissa

PS: Since this was originally written, it's been reported that Zarqawi wasn't quite dead yet when coalition troops came upon the scene of the F-16 bombing of his safe house. They reported that his final words were unitelligible mumbling. We can only imagine....: "Why is it so hot? ...Why am I in this handbasket? ...Where are the virgins? ... Who is that red guy with the horns?....AHHHHHH!..."

Would A Same Sex Marriage Ban Amendment Cause Harm To U.S. Contract Law?

The President and some in Congress are revving up for this fall’s elections and pandering to their religious right base by pushing for a same sex marriage ban Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Few think such an Amendment could actually pass, the votes just aren’t there.

To amend the Constitution, it takes a two thirds vote of a quorum of both houses of Congress and a three fourths vote of all the state legislatures. In fact it would be hard to find a 51% majority for writing that kind of mean-spirited discrimination into the U.S. Constitution.

But there’s another interesting issue that I think should be considered while we’re all thinking about this. Contract law.

Article 1.Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution.

1 No State shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation; grant letters of marque and reprisal; coin money; emit bills of credit; make any thing but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts; pass any bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law impairing the obligation of contracts, or grant any title of nobility.

Now we have a situation in this country where there are already legally married same sex couples. I’m not only talking about the ones who have been allowed to marry recently in Massachussetts and a few scattered cities. Few people are aware that same sex marriages have existed for many years in this country in another form. A couple got married in 1984. It was a legal marriage contract between a male and female. Years later the male had a sex change operation but they never got divorced, they decided to stay married. Since the time of that operation, the male has been legally and anatomically female, accepted as such by laws in every state and by federal law. They still file income taxes jointly as a married couple, with no challenge from the federal government.

In fact no one can legally break up these peoples’ marriage, or the most recent ones involving same sex couples, they are legal contracts according to every law in this country, and are therefore protected under Article 1.Section 10.

So the question that I think needs to be considered in this debate, is whether such an Amendment, assuming by some stretch of the imagination that it could be passed, would be harmful to U.S. contract law. Would it set a precedent of allowing the government to annul existing marriages, therefore harming the very institutions of both marriage and contract law?

I think we need to very seriously consider this, because it’s one more reason that such discrimination shouldn’t be embedded into the very document that’s supposed to protect the rights of Americans from abuses by government.

No, I think that this is actually and anti-marriage Amendment and it smells worse than day old dead fish left out in the Texas sun. The whole bad idea should be dumped by the President and Congress.

Years ago there was a political cartoon that depicted a donkey and an elephant wearing lumberjack outfits, chopping away at the tree of liberty from both the left and the right. Let’s quit passing laws that harm all of our human rights just to oppress certain other people.

If the UN really cared

Ever since it happened, we've heard nothing but endless whining, moaning, wailing and gnashing of teeth from the dictators and socialists running the UN, about the U.S. decision to invade Iraq and overthrow the brutal Saddam Hussein dictatorship.

Now all the islamofascists and undiscouraged Saddam loyalists in the region, with the encouragement of America-haters everywhere, including the quislings of the extreme left in this country, are doing their best to see that this attempt at installing democracy in the region fails, if for no other reason than to "bring Bush down".

Neighboring dictatorships are terrified that if it succeeds in Iraq, it could soon be coming to a theatre near them.

But despite these difficulties, the Iraqi people themselves have managed to hold transitional elections with courageously high turnouts ( even if they'd been U.S. elections ), and to finally elect a permanent form of governing body.

Yet the insurgency incorporating just about every serial mad dog murderer in the world who's too cowardly to actually put on an identifiable uniform and go honestly and openly mano a marine against America's finest, has been pouring into Iraq from places like Syria and Iran, to sneak around like rabid feral pigs in the night planting roadside bombs that blow up mostly civilians including women, children and the occasional media reporters, and of course their own mosques, to try to provoke a civil war that will make America lose.

Yet despite this, the vast majority of Iraqis refuse to let their nation fall apart and persist in trying to live their lives in peace and newfound freedom.

Yet the usual characters at the UN sit back watching all this, as if by their inactions they still hold out hope of punishing the U.S. for not gaining the permission of all the corrupt dictators and socialists who were on Saddam's payroll, before undertaking the Iraqi effort. As if, had we just discussed and asked permission for a few more years ( or decades ), they might have given it. Right.

Many of us in this country, who aren't among the America-hating leftists, are left wondering exactly wha the UN is good for, besides holding the potential to eventually disarm us and tax us and turn into an out-of-control-monster Big Brother one-world socialist dictatorship, the likes of which this planet has never yet seen, and we hope it never does.

"Yeah, there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose

And it just sits there watchin' "
- Steppenwolf ( Monster )

Iraq is now in the state of being a fledgling democracy, the kind that the UN claims to be supportive and encouraging of in the world, over ruthless dictatorships.

So if the UN really cared, you know what they would do now? They would send in about an additional 150,000 peace keeping forces to patrol Iraq and supress the terrorism that threatens this new democracy and help bring a lasting peace to the Iraqi people, who so sorely deserve it after everything they've been through over these past few decades.

Let the UN now demonstrate their sincerity and give us at least a little glimmering sign that they're not totally useless, extremely dangerous to individual liberty, and shouldn't have the U.S. withdraw, shut them down and ship them off to France.

NO, UN Global Taxation Is NOT OK!

On Fox News Dayside today, they were discussing the push by the one-world-government globalists for global UN taxation. It seems France has already accepted it and will start charging airline passengers a new tax for the UN! From $5-50 on each airline ticket. One more reason to boycott France!

But even the Dayside hosts, guest speaker and audience apparently didn't comprehend just why this is so very dangerous!

Oh they talked about how the UN has been so corrupt and everything, how they waste so much money with fraud, theft and corruption. As if, if only that could be solved, maybe UN global taxation wouldn't be so bad. I couldn't believe my ears!

They missed the whole point!

Read the novel "1984" people!

Run by socialists and dictators who hate the United States and want to bring us down, the UN is already the most dangerous organization in the world today. It works against the very survival of our individual human rights and liberty! They even have a global agenda of banning civilian ownership of firearms! So far that's been held off by conservatives who tell them that it would infringe our already- swiss-cheesed Second Amendment.

We already have 21,000 gun laws that infringe it, I don't see why our government would mind it being taken the rest of the way away. But the remaining conservatives and some neocons apparently still mind. When the Democrats get back in power, that will of course change again.

The UN are would-be tyrants, and they only need one thing to impose global tyranny. The power to impose taxation!

The power to tax is the power to enslave. All these tyrants need is to be able to tap into the pockets of every working person on this planet and their power will grow exponentially! They will quickly eclipse even our out-of-control-monster of a government, which has become that way through exactly the same process, because of the power of unrestricted taxation.

( We have people in our present government who think that anything that doesn't yet have a government regulation covering it, is "anarchy". )

While their audience was 100% opposed to the idea, they were saying on Dayside that it may only be a matter of time, because while this administration won't hear of it, Bill Clinton sounded like he wasn't so averse to the idea!

The Democrats! The globalist one-world-government-supporting Democrats ( synonymous with socialism ) will be the ones to bring us globalist UN taxation and a Big Brother style one-world government, as soon as they gain power again. This must never be allowed to happen or we will lose what's left of our freedom!

No, the UN should never be allowed to tax globally! Never!

Legalize pot in the U.S., screw Canada up.

Canadians complain about guns being smuggled there from the U.S. but they make huge incomes by growing pot and bringing it across our porous borders into the U.S. for sale.

It's time that the United States learned the lesson of Prohibition. It never worked for alcohol, it just created a massive violent criminal empire in the process. ( ever hear of Al Capone? ) The fact is that prohibition doesn't work when there's a market for something, and Americans like their pot.

So it's time to end the War On Some Drug Users. Alcohol is legal and regulated here. Pot is legal and regulated in places like Netherlands, and they're doing just fine with it.

We could end the huge incomes being made by smugglers and growers north and south of our borders with one simple action. Legalize and regulate pot in the U.S. It would have to be done at federal and state levels simultaneously. It could even be done by passing an Amendment, like ending Prohibition did. Then people could either buy it like they do with tobacco dope, in the supermarkets or shops, or they could even grow their own at home.

It's a libertarian thing to do. Let people have their freedom as long as they're responsible. If they screw up, they pay. We already have penalties for DUI for example.

The entire drug war infrastructure could be eliminated, doing away with the tens of billions of federal tax dollars every year, that are wasted in a futile attempt to stop something that the free market in the United States demands! The free market always works! There's no way around that, and anytime you try, you just waste money, destroy lives, and create a vast violent criminal empire.

It's time to end the drug cartels and all the violent crime by ending Prohibition on pot and legalizing it already.

Mexican oil?

Is it just me, or are you also getting the impression from the wishy washy attitudes of the President and Congress, that maybe Mexico has threatened to cut off their oil if we seal our border?

We have just GOT to get independent of foreign oil ASAP!

I heard recently that ethanol is being made in this country now, for the same price as gas. Does anyone know if that's true? If it is, we should really get going with a crash program to ramp up ethanol production and get our vehicles modified so they can run on it, so we can tell OPEC to shove their oil where the sun don't shine, and I don't mean back in the ground!

I'm so damn sick of being blackmailed by oil being used as a political weapon.

And it could bring this country down soon. If Mexico and Venezuela blackmail us, they could force the borders to remain open and we may as well kiss this country goodbye, it will turn into a socialist globalist state under UN control.

“Official English” Is Not “English Only”

I’ve heard this argument so many times before at the state and local levels, and now here we are again at the national level. There’s a movement in Congress to make english the official language of the United States. I bet you thought it was already, but apparently it’s not.

So the votes so far, are coming down right along party lines, with mostly Republicans favoring it, and mostly Democrats opposing. The usual suspects. The more extreme leftist they are, the more they oppose this. And the name calling has begun already too. There are accusations of “racism” by the Democrats. Huh? Racism? Well they seem to accuse everyone of racism for just about anything they oppose or disagree with. Some of these people go around with race cards pinned to their shoulders, like chips.

A famous cartoonist years ago during the Viet Nam war, coined the term SWINE for the student protesters on college campuses. People like Jane Fonda who proudly proclaimed they were socialists and advocated Communism for America.

( "I, a socialist, think that we should strive toward a socialist society, all the way to communism.” – Jane Fonda, per the Washington Times- July 7, 2000 )

SWINE stood for Students Wildly Indignant About Nearly Everything. Well I have a new similar term to describe the global socialist movement of today. SWINE: Socialists Wildly Indignant About Nearly Everything.

How is making english the official language of the United States “racist”? Well if you ask them, they’ll tell you that it would be wrong to force everyone to speak english, that people should be able to speak any language they want. But wait a minute. Who said anything about forcing everyone to speak english? All “official english” does is make english the “official national language” of the United States.

If you lived in Sweden you’d find that Swedish was the “official national language” of that country. French would be the “official national language” of France. German would be the “official national language” of Germany.

So what’s wrong with the United States having an official national language? No one is forced to speak anything, nor would they be. You even have the right to remain silent. Haven’t we all heard that in TV and the movies? I could speak Swahili if I wanted to, nobody cares. The point is that the old saying that “a house divided cannot stand” is true. We can’t run a country efficiently with twenty different languages on every public document, and look at how annoying and confusing that is. How many times have you taken a new electronic toy out of the box and had to wade through a one inch thick manual in search of english, when it had the single page of instructions in 20 languages? That drives me up the wall.

And I’m also sick of calling a business and having to press a phone key to choose between english and spanish. I know we’ve been invaded by twelve million illegal aliens but this is supposed to be the United States and we shouldn’t even have to mess with choosing our own language from phone menus all the time. I don’t think very highly of businesses that make me choose between my own native language in my own native country, and spanish when I call them.

If I wanted to go live in Germany, I’d have to learn German because that’s the language of that country. I could go around speaking english to everyone but I wouldn’t do very well, nor would I expect to. It would be unreasonable for me to expect all of Germany to learn english just so they could talk to me, and it would be unreasonable to expect them to have all of their official legal documents available to me in english or to have to accommodate me in any way like that.

So why do these people think that it’s reasonable here in the United States.

No, I just see this as more of the same America-hating that we get from the Democrats all the time lately anyway. I think the culture war has gotten so bad in this country that these people will do anything they can to bash, undermine and eventually destroy the United States. What better way to fragment the country than to push for amnesty for illegal invaders, or to push a tower of babel language scheme that says that we must accommodate everyone who comes here, by having everything available for them in their language, no matter where they’re from.

The idea used to be that America was supposed to be a melting pot, that people came here and learned english as our common language and became “assimilated” into our society. It wasn’t supposed to be that we were supposed to be outwardly assimilated into the whole world. But maybe that’s the real agenda at work here, to assimilate the United States into the rest of the world, as part of a socialist globalist agenda. That’s what they really appear to be pushing for.

We’ve heard so much outrageous spin lately from the illegal invaders. Obfuscation of the very terms involved. Why they’re not “illegal invaders” they’re really just “undocumented immigrants”. ( Even though the Mexican government is handing out maps and instructions to help them get here, and threatening to sue us now if we send troops secure our borders. ) “Undocumented immigrants”. Doesn’t that sound nicer? Why it almost sounds like they were invited here and just haven’t gotten their documentation filled out yet, not that they have been pouring into our country in violation of our laws, at the rate of a million a year. “Undocumented immigrants”. Doesn’t that sound like a load of happy crap?

I think it’s way past the time that we should make english the official language of the United States, and for the socialists who hate America to stop obfuscating the issue into claiming that we’re racists for having an official language, or that it’s “english only”, as if everyone will be forced to speak only english, which is quite frankly an absurd blatant lie.

And be honest about it. As we used to say in the ‘60’s, “tell it like it is”. It’s really being fought as part of a greater, much more sinister anti-America agenda.

"The end of the United States is near"

The Minutemen of the late 1700's were those who would sound the alarm to warn Americans that this country was being invaded. So think of the following as playing the same role that those Minutemen served. The invaders are coming!

This illegal invasion from the south is not just "a bunch of poor Mexicans looking for a better life" ( cue the violins ), as the liberal media makes it out to be. It's also an invasion by socialists intent on changing and conquering the U.S. via class warfare. Just in the last 24 hours, I've heard on the news:

10% of all Mexicans are now living in the U.S., most of them illegally.
50% of Mexicans say they want to come to the U.S.
49% of them say they will do it illegally if they have to.

Mark my words!: They are being used as a tool to promote a socialist invasion and class warfare agenda, to invade and destroy the United States!

Venezuelan Communist President Hugo Chavez is saying that, "the end of the U.S. is near". He's friends with Fidel Castro, who also hates the U.S. and has long been promoting Communism in this hemisphere. Chile has a socialist president too. They're trying to elect a socialist president in Mexico this July. There's talk of cutting off Venezuelan and Mexican oil to the U.S. as a political weapon, and guess what end that can serve. To promote their socialist agenda in the U.S. To get our politicians to surrender to socialism and appease them, on threat of having that oil cut off. Oh and Canada is pretty socialist too. Between all of them, they could cut off how much? 40% of all our oil imports? Can you imagine that?

The handwriting is on the wall people. Our government is mostly made up of spineless pandering populist politicians, many of whom are various degrees of socialists themselves ( not only the liberal Democrats, many of the Republicans too! ) and are cooperating with this socialist invasion agenda.

Here in the Denver area, it seems like about half the population is from Mexico now, and speaking spanish everywhere we go, and they do not come across as U.S. citizens! There are too many of them, appearing way too quickly, and they don't speak english. Invasion!

A country cannot continue to exist as a nation without enforced borders. Reports are saying that thousands of illegals a day are pouring through the borders into the U.S. A million a year? They're doing everything but shooting at those why try to stop them, using every means at their disposal, even using torches to cut through steel fences. This is an invasion and most of our leaders have lost the will to defend this country, for fear of losing votes!

They talk of "compromise", that "politics is the art of compromise", of coming to a compromise on legislation in Congress, but what is compromise in this case? We have compromised borders now, and this country is being overrun! Compromises of this kind, are like compromising your sister to a rapist!

We don't need compromise, we need to seal the borders right now, and reverse this invasion before we have no more United States!

Will the United States remain a country, or will it be divided into the Mexican vision of a reclaimed Aztlan, but under socialism?

( see http://www.americanpatrol.com/MECHA/AZTLAN.html )

What will it take to get decisive courageous action by our government? Will true defenders of this country have to actually start shooting at the invaders on the borders? Will that finally get our government's attention?

It's up to you, fellow citizens. Write to the President and your representatives in Congress and tell them that you will not vote for anyone in the future who does not demand the following:

1.) Seal the borders with the military, and build a wall! Right now, not "by 2008". If we were being invaded by China, they wouldn't be saying "by 2008". This is an invasion. They're not playing games, they intend to take over this country! Demand that the borders be sealed NOW! Ann Coulter has suggested using captured illegals as labor to build a wall, before shipping them back to the other side. But a wall needs to be built, otherwise it will be a constant struggle requiring massive military presence, to keep catching the invaders, forever into the future. And the Congress just isn't doing it! Spineless!

2.) Make it a felony to hire illegal invaders and start busting companies and employers for it! This has been suggested before but the liberal media and the politicians have been ignoring it, and propagandizing instead that it's just impossible to round 12 million people up like that, boo hoo. But if you crack down on employers, then you won't have to round up these 12 million invaders! Employers will fear large fines and prison, so they'll start being sure of who they hire, and checking them out first. Without work they will leave on their own! "Some of them have roots here"? Too bad! They should have obeyed our laws! Now get out!

3.) Then, and ONLY then, establish a guest worker program, with the illegals having to get in line behind those already applying for legal entry into this country.

You HAVE to demand this people, and it must be done NOW, not in 6 months or 2 years, right now!

It's the only way to stop this invasion and continue to have a country that we can call the United States of America!

Please write letters to the President and your representatives today!

USA Going The Way Of The UFK

Some places have long been used as testing grounds for socialist policies, before such policies are inflicted on the U.S. One of the worst of such places used to be called UK, but in recent years some of us have come to know it as “Unfree Kingdom”. They started off banning guns there ( because someone could possibly get hurt, and “if it saves just one life”, “it’s for the children”, etc., yada yada… ) , and have worked their way down to replica guns now, with some talk of even banning sharp knives.

If that evokes a shudder, realize that here in the U.S. we’re not that far behind. I’ve seen restaurants that no longer serve chives on my baked potato, because someone got sick from bacteria on some chives in another state. I chive you not. Luckily no one has gotten sick from bacteria on lettuce, or they’d stop serving salads, right?

And some won’t even give you a sharp knife to cut your meat with anymore, why you might cut yourself or someone else. There I am having a steak and trying to cut it with a butter knife.

If you go into many of their restrooms, you won’t find hot water to wash your hands with anymore, someone might scald themselves.

Costco stopped giving out toothpicks and plastic forks with their samples, because some kid might put an eye out with one and then they could be sued.

So I’m sitting in Starbucks tonight enjoying a Frappuccino, and they were out of the Denver Post in the leftover newspaper rack there. All they had was the New York Times . At least they didn’t have the news or opinion sections, so my blood pressure didn’t shoot up, but I picked up the entertainment section. On the front was a picture of a dog with a sign around its neck saying that he was an “emotional support dog”. Huh?

Well it seems that people who are blind have always been able to bring “working dogs” into restaurants with them, and especially so since the passage of the ADA ( Americans with Disabilities Act ) which says that establishments must make reasonable attempts to “accommodate” disabled people.

In fact after studying martial arts and seeing people all impressed with nunchucks, I often point out that those are not weapons that you can take just anywhere. In fact they’re totally banned in many cities like Denver, even in some of the martial arts schools that teach their students how to use them. The city of Denver has turned a blind eye to that, so far, but that could change at any time. In fact even the rubber nunchucks are illegal there.

No, I suggest to people that they learn how to use the combat cane instead. A combat cane is a cane that's not made of flimsy aluminum that could bend or break if you defend yourself with it. It's made of solid hardwood that's about an inch thick. It also has a wedge at the end of the curved part, for gouging various parts of the body in a self defense situation. Those you can take anywhere, even on an airliner. I tell people; if anyone objects, just start whining, “ADA! , ADA!”.

So it seems now that in New York City, the people who want to bring little “Fu Fu” into the restaurant with them, have started calling their dog an “emotional support dog”, and some are even carrying letters from their doctors claiming that they’re dependent on their doggie for emotional support. Then if the restaurant still resists, they start whining “ADA!”, and that usually does the trick.

Trends like this usually start in New York or California, after spreading from Unfree Kingdom, and then metastasize across the country from those socialist bastions. So expect to start seeing dogs in restaurants, supermarkets, or just about anywhere else now. Not only those expensive house trained working dogs either, these “emotional support” dogs could be nervous piddlers, or...worse. Charming.

Welcome to the USSA ( United Socialist States of America ).

“Howdy, I’m a cowgirl and this is my 1500 pound horse Petunia. We’re here for lunch. Ya got a post where I can hitch old Petunia up? Maybe a feed bucket with some oats for her? Oh golly, Petunia just dropped a pile on the floor. She's emotionally supportive but tends to be a bit uninhibited. Where's my horsie bag? What? I can’t bring Petunia in here with me? But... Petunia is my “emotional support horse”. Why I go everywhere with her. My therapist says she helps me emotionally. “ADA! , ADA!”.

Do you live near a school or even drive by a school, and own or transport a gun?

Witnessing the disintegration of America

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?", said Dr. Ferris. We WANT them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against.... We're after power and we mean it .... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one MAKES them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted--and you create a nation of law-breakers--and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with." --Ayn Rand, "Atlas Shrugged"

There was a segment on Fox News today about the gun free school zones act of 1990. It established 1000 foot zones around every school, where someone can be arrested by a federal officer if they have a gun. It carries a potential 5 year federal felony sentence, unless they have Big Brother’s specific permission to carry one, in the form of a concealed carry license. ( which some states don’t allow ) What that does, is shift the RKBA ( the universal individual inalienable human Right to Keep And Bear Arms ) from being a constitutionally recognized human right, into being something that you don’t have without written permission from the government to exercise it.

But the act also includes peoples’ homes if they live near schools, and their cars if they even drive past a school, so someone who lives 900 feet from a school is a federal criminal if they have a gun in their house. Someone who has a hunting gun or pistol in their car, which is traditionally considered someones mobile home for the purpose of gun laws, is a federal criminal if they drive within 1000 feet of a school, which isn’t at all hard to do. It’s simply absurd and outrageous.

On Fox news, they also showed some maps that illustrate the overlap from these zones. There are so many schools in many big cities that it makes the entire city virtually a gun free zone, and anyone who owns a gun, a federal criminal. Few people who live near, or drive by schools realize this.

Of course the proponent of the law on Fox News claimed this is just “too bad”, that we’ve already had the discussion years ago and that’s what democratic mob rule decided at the time, so live with it. But it’s just not right, to criminalize a right protected by the Bill of Rights to begin with, and do so in such a devious way that it makes criminals out of large segments of the population who have no criminal intent, but are just exercising their human right.

"...this particular right is threatened with misinterpretation to the point of meaninglessness... this is a far easier method of elimination than amendment, being much quicker and not requiring the same rigid consensus and forthright discussion of it's constitutional relevancy." - To Keep And Bear Arms, By Dr. Joyce Malcolm, Page 176

The Gun-Free School Zones Act should be repealed. At its very essence it’s useless and redundant, and like so many victimless “crime” laws, it makes criminals out of so many good people. Anyone who wants to commit a criminal act can walk into any school in this country and kill people. No law can stop that, but in Israel they found that the opposite approach worked best, they armed the teachers. That stopped school shootings there. Would you want people teaching your kids who wouldn’t keep and bear the means of protecting your children, or lift a finger to defend them if they were attacked? I wouldn’t.

The act should be repealed immediately, but of course don’t expect it with the gutless constitution-destroying termites that we now have running our government.

My 3 Point Plant To Bring Mexico Prosperity

Mexico could be one of the most prosperous countries in the world.

1.) Distribute ownership of oil resources to all citizens with a non-transferrable equal share of the oil income for each adult Mexican. That alone would probably keep them fed and housed.

2.) Promote 100% literacy and education.

3.) Get rid of all socialism and promote libertarian reforms.

A New Term - DWK

We're now seeing Patrick Kennedy following in his father Ted's footsteps, and not in a good way.

Ted "Buy me a drink, oh and by the way, where IS Mary Jo" Kennedy was let off easy from the Chappaquiddick incident, in which he was apparently drunken driving with Mary Jo Kopechne when he ran his car off the bridge into the water and she drown while he skunked off, leaving the scene of the accident and covering up any investigation into whether he was drunk on his ass when it happened.

So in this latest Kennedy incident, Patrick was swerving all over the road at night with his lights out, almost hit a police car, and finally crashed.

According to Fox News, "Louis P. Cannon, president of the Washington chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, who was not at the traffic stop, said the officers who responded to the accident were instructed by an official "above the rank of patrolman" to take Kennedy home and no sobriety tests were conducted at the scene. Cannon also said he heard from officers that Kennedy had smelled of alcohol, adding that based on the other visual signs the congressman showed, officers could have followed up with the sobriety tests."

A police supervisor has been reassigned, following the incident. The officers who initially responded, after nearly having their car hit, suspected alcohol but were told not to do a required sobriety test.

There have also been reports of Patrick being seen at a local bar before the incident.

"He was drinking a little bit," a hostess told the newspaper. The Herald also said a bartender from a nearby establishment also saw the congressman at Hawk and Dove." - Fox News

So because of this kind of thing seemingly running in the Ted Kennedy family, I think we need a new term just for them.
DWK - Driving While Kennedy. It's the opposite of DWB, or Driving While Black. If any of the rest of us had been drunk on our asses in such a situation we wouldn't have just been ticketed and taken home, trust me on this. We'd have had a sobriety test done and have been arrested if it was discovered that we were DUI. Driving under the influence of anything.

But it helps if you're in a wealthy family that has enormous political power in this country, the limousine liberal ruling class. You can be like the OJ Simpson of Capital Hill and get away with almost anything, apparently even with the help of the police.

The Solution For Iraq

The mess in Iraq is dragging on way too long and Americans are growing weary of it. The main reason is that al qaeda ( the global islamofascist terrorist factions ) and Iran have combined forces to try to see that the U.S. loses everything there. We’re hearing that Iran has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the Iraq insurgency movement from their end.

So what’s the solution? Keep U.S. troops there for another ten years? There’s even talk of dividing Iraq into three separate countries now, which is not acceptable to anyone who doesn’t want this effort lost. It would be a last ditch effort to prevent a civil war.

But I think I’ve just thought of the perfect solution. Rational self interest.

If we can invoke the rational self interest of every single Iraqi towards fighting these terrorist insurgents, it will be won and Iraq will remain a country.

How can that be done?

Oil.

All of Iraq’s rich oil resources were previously controlled, owned if you will, by Saddam Hussein, who abused them for his evil ends. Among libertarians and Objectivists, I hear suggestions that the oil resources should now be privatized, but to whom? If they were sold off to the highest bidder, who would get the money from the sale? And then they could just wind up with big corporations using the oil for corrupt purposes to politically dominate the country.

No, I have a much better, much more elegant solution that will seize the self interest of each and every Iraqi and get them to unite like never before to save their country.

Give every adult Iraqi an equal number of shares of ownership in Iraq’s oil resources and the profits from its sale, payable yearly.

This will give every Iraqi a rational self interest in shutting down the terrorist insurgents, stopping all interference from outsiders, and putting aside sectarian differences so they can all cooperate towards making their yearly oil incomes.

I think this would be the perfect solution to a problem that promises to remain a terrible mess unless this is done.

HIGH GAS PRICES THE FAULT OF THE DEMOCRATS

The Democrat obstructionists are at fault for the high gas prices we're seeing now AND the energy crisis we face.

They obstructed President Bush's energy policy from passing, for years.

They obstructed new refineries from being built for the last 30 years.

They obstructed oil from being drilled in ANWAR for years.

They obstructed new oil exploration in the entire U.S. for years.

They obstructed new nuclear plants from being built for YEARS.

The Governor of Alaska said yesterday that we have enough natural gas on federal lands to solve much of this country’s energy needs but the Democrats have been obstructing that too.

They obstruct everything they can, then BLAME Bush and the Republicans in their lie and smear frenzy.

If you’re FED up with Democrat obstructionism and whining, thank them this fall. Don't vote for them!

I WILL NEVER AGAIN VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT.

The Republicans aren't much better either. NEITHER will defend our country's borders! Without recognized and defended borders, we have no nation.

So from now on, vote libertarian almost all the time, or if a

Democrat has a chance of winning, THEN vote Republican!

O’Reilly The Slightly Conservative Socialist

Those of you who have read much of what I’ve written, have often heard me go on about the “liberal socialists”. This is because I think that liberalism has become synonymous with socialism in recent decades. In fact it may have been synonymous for the better part of this past century, only I didn’t notice because I wasn’t aware of it. I used to be a liberal. It wasn’t until the late ‘90’s that I started shifting towards becoming a libertarian. Part of that shift happened because I could absolutely no longer stomach what I saw liberalism becoming.

But there are other kinds of socialists too. In fact I think we could simplify the political spectrum greatly by realizing that there are essentially only two kinds of political philosophies in the world. There are various forms and degrees of coercive collectivism, which is essentially forming a big enough mob and forcing everyone else to obey your every whim. Then there’s libertarianism which is based on the non-initiation of force principle, that it’s morally wrong to initiate force against others, or to delegate its initiation.

Even totalitarian dictatorships can be considered a form of coercive collectivism because anytime the collective people decide to stop obeying the dictator, it can end, and there’s little the dictator can do about it that won’t get him into even more hot water after that.

So here I was, watching O’Reilly and he’s ranting on and on about gas prices and “gouging”. Now gas prices in a free market are very dependent on demand. In a previous show, O’Reilly even said that if the American public cut their driving by just 3%, it would crash gas prices. Now that’s a great free market libertarian approach. We even witnessed the free market at work after 9/11 when people were shocked, depressed and afraid to drive as much for a few months, and gas prices dropped in response.

But here he was ranting about “gouging”. Us libertarians know that there’s really no such thing in the free market, it’s purely a coercive collectivist term for when people don’t want to pay the price that the free market is demanding. And of course it’s become the political hot button issue of the week, as the President and Congress try to draw attention away from the fact that they haven’t got the courage to defend this nations borders anymore and take the steps necessary to put an end to the illegal invasion. So they’re all harping on “gas price gouging” this week.

Well here I am watching O’Reilly and he’s going ballistic over the fact that people need gas and the oil companies are charging so much that people can’t afford it, so something has to be done. It should be investigated and maybe Congress should hit these evil companies with a windfall profits tax. Evil capitalist companies are making too much profits and we can’t have that, can we?

Is this reminding any of you older readers of Jimmy Carter in the 70’s? Gas price controls? The call for windfall profits taxes, even wage and price controls? What a mess that caused. The free market is the most powerful market force there is, and anytime you mess with that, you get even more trouble than you already had. Ask the former Communists.

So as O’Reilly ranted, it started reminding me of the novel “Atlas Shrugged”, by Ayn Rand.

""I do not see why industrialists should be considered at all," said Scudder. "When the masses are destitute and yet there are goods available, it's idiotic to expect people to be stopped by some scrap of paper called a property deed. Property rights are a superstition. One holds property only by the courtesy of those who do not sieze it. The people can sieze it at any moment. If they can, why shouldn't they?"

"They should", said Claude Slagenhop. "They need it. Need is the only consideration. If people are in need, we've got to sieze things first and talk about it afterwards."

It also started reminding me of, “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.”

Who originally said it? Ted kennedy? Jessie Jackson? John Kerry? or Hillary Clinton? Well no, it was actually Karl Marx. Which brings us right back to socialism. That statement is the essence of what socialism really is. Whenever you see someone ranting about there being a need, and having to sieze property or money from people to fulfill it, that’s socialism you’re seeing.

So in all fairness I’d like to point out that it’s not just the liberal socialists who are helping to destroy this country, but the conservative socialists as well. I still have an old cartoon scan that I cut from a newspaper years ago, showing an elephant and a donkey, chopping away with axes at the tree of liberty, from both the left and the right. It’s been true all along and it’s never been more true than today.

NOTE TO NETFLIX

We've noticed that since we upgraded from the 4 to 5 dvd plan, they've been coming much slower. I also recently read about your practice of throttling, and my sister in Florida quit your service because of it.

I hope this recent slowness is not because of throttling!

We noticed that you've started mailing dvd's from other states so that they take 3 days or more to reach us. We DO NOT appreciate this!

If it could be proven that you had the titles here locally, yet mailed them from other states to cause delays, I imagine you could be sued up the kazoo!

BRIEF REVIEW: HBO Big Love - Impressed

We keep being more and more impressed by the new HBO series Big Love.

It depicts a renegade mormon family in Utah, Bill Henrickson and his three wives; Barb, Nicki and Margene.

These aren't renegade mormons living off on a compound, they live in the city, in three houses that Bill bought to house his three families, all adjoining each other. His parents do live in a rural compound though.

These are people who have broken with the LDS church over the issue of polygamy. In the late 1800's Utah had to make a choice between polygamy and joining the union, ironically a polygamy of states.

Yet there are some mormons that, to this day, don't accept the decision, even though "bigamy" is a class 3 felony in Utah and the people who practice it are subject to societal castigation if they're discovered by mainstream LDS mormons who don't accept the practice.

The series, as with so many that HBO makes, is excellently done and portrays a big beautiful family. They almost always manage to work out their problems in harmony, despite the multiple variables thrown into such an equation by the polygamy itself. They have it all worked out in a council of wives, which nights they get Bill, how they run family affairs, spend money and everything. Of course with their religion, the man always rules the roost, but that works for them because they were all brought up in that tradition.

The drama includes a struggle between Bill and one of his father-in-laws Roman who is high up in his polygamist sect and loaned him the money to build his huge home improvement store, which reminds one of a Home Depot. The deal was a percentage of the profits, but after Bill built another store with his share of the profits, Roman wanted a percentage of that one too, and hard feelings developed. So Roman, who's a sort of Elder in the sect, is pitted against Bill, and sparks fly, coming close to violence at times.

I think the series makes a great case for legalizing polygamy, and it seems to be intending to.

In a libertarian sense, why not? As long as a marriage is between consenting adult humans, why should the church, state, or other people care, or have any say at all in the matter?

Even though I've never been a mormon and never will be, I think the show is entertaining, dramatic and beautifully done, and I admire and envy what a family like that has, their Big Love.

STOP THE ILLEGAL INVASION NOW!

It has now become obvious that most of our “leaders” ( politicians ), from top to bottom, do not have the political will or courage to stop and reverse the illegal invasion of the United States. The solution is so simple that even a plain old ordinary citizen like myself can think of the following ways to solve it, but our politicians lack the fortitude and political will to do so, and not stopping it could literally mean the end of the United States in the long term. For the first time in our history, we have a government that doesn’t have the political will to defend this country, and I think that’s disgusting.

The United States has been invaded by ( among others ) somewhere over 12 million people from Mexico, an extremely corrupt, increasingly socialist country, many of whom appear to want to "take back" the entire southwest and west for Mexico ( see the Mecha and Aztlan movements ) and have been waving Mexican flags in our streets and making vaguely threatening gestures about it. This, while they demand access and overwhelm our medical care and welfare systems.

They’ve even been mass-rallying in support of this illegal invasion and against anything being done about it. The liberal media calls these “immigrant rallies” but they are rallies supporting illegal invasion, let’s call it what it is. Few people in this country are against immigrants, yet 80% of the country is against this illegal invasion.

Most of those in our government seem intimidated by their threats, fearing loss of votes, and won’t do anything meaningful to stop the invasion. We’re having to rely on a few militia volunteers, to do the work that our government refuses to do, and they can’t possibly do it all by themselves. Not seriously, and not to seal the borders and stop the invasion. Not without becoming the “vigilantes” that the media falsely accuses them of being now.

In Congress all they do is talk of “compromise”, but if the invaders were 11 million north Koreans or 11 million Iranians, or 11 million communist Chinese, this talk of "compromise" wouldn't be going on.

To make one thing very clear, it won't be solved my making the people who are here now into retroactive felons. In fact that would be an unconstitutional ex post facto law and might not even stand up in the courts.

But there are very basic assertive ways to solve this illegal invasion in a cost effective manner that respects human rights.

1. SEAL the borders with troops first and maybe a wall later. But seal the borders! We have the military to do this. It’s the constitutional job of the military and the government to defend this country from illegal invasion.
2. Make it a felony with penalties of severe fines and imprisonment, to HIRE illegal immigrants, and ENFORCE IT. Start cracking down on companies that hire illegals, with stiff fines and prison sentences for those involved. Then you won't have to round MOST of the invaders up, they will not find work and will leave on their own. I keep hearing media pundits talk about how impossible it would be to forcibly deport tens of millions of people. Well we don’t have to. Make hiring them a felony with stiff penalties, and ENFORCE them, and those tens of millions of people will leave, all on their own!
3. Cut off all health and welfare benefits for illegals and if they have children here, legislate that those children are NOT U.S. citizens, because their parents were illegally here when they were born.
4. If anyone still remains, a certain time after it becomes a felony to hire them, they should be suspected of criminal activities, tracked down and deported. If they want to come back in under a guest worker program, make them get in line behind all the people who have been waiting patiently to legally get into this country. And by all means arrest anyone who came here with the intent to harm Americans, for example the middle easterners from countries like Iran and Syria who sneak across the Mexican border into the U.S., and the violent criminal gangs who are invading our streets to sell death drugs.

5. After all that has been done, establish a guest worker program to legally fill any jobs that Americans don’t fill at any particular time, and if Americans later come along and want them, they should get them first by having the guest workers leave them.

Also, Steve Forbes says that he knows ways that Mexico could become very prosperous, so their people wouldn't even want to come here. Listen to him, and get the Mexican government to listen to him. It involves eliminating socialism and corruption.

See how simple that is? No need for compromise and everyone can be treated with dignity and respect.

The Constitution says in Article 4, Section 4 that: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion;…”

Contact your political leaders and demand that they do their job!

Yet another unconstitutional tax

We all knew that when the internet became something that large masses of people were using, sure enough the government wouldn't be able to keep their hands off taxing it.

"If you drive a car-car I'll tax the street
If you try to sit-sit I'll tax your seat
If you get too cold I'll tax the heat
If you take a walk I'll tax your feet"
- Tax Man, by The Beatles

The government has been ignoring the Constitution in so many ways in recent decades. Almost all the Amendments of the Bill of Rights are routinely ignored now. Oh they always have an excuse. Modern lawyers can find loopholes for everything except death.

But here's a part of the original Constitution, not even amended:

Article 1.Section 9.

5 No tax or duty shall be laid on articles exported from any State.

I first started noticing the violation of that one years ago, when some of the states started taxing catalog sales from other states.

For example, I used to buy clothing from the Lane Bryant catalog. It was a good way to save money for the very reason that there was no tax on mail order sales from other states. The products usually cost less and the shipping charges were made up for, by the fact that there was no tax on it.

Now the catalog sales division was totally separate from their stores in Colorado. If you bought something from the catalog and wanted to return it to the store ( or vice versa ), you were told that they were totally separate divisions and you couldn’t do that.

Then one day, they started collecting tax for Colorado mail order sales. I protested and was told that it was “because they had a presence in Colorado”. Huh? But they told me that they were totally separate divisions. No, they said, it was because their name was on a store sign in Colorado, so Colorado was forcing them to collect taxes on mail order sales too. So I never bought from their catalog again. It was adding insult to injury anyway, having to pay shipping charges and taxes. It made the merchandise cost more than if I bought it in a local store.

So a few years ago, we heard Congress taking solemn vows that they would not tax the internet, but an old saying goes, that when a politician is denying something, that’s when they’re starting to thing of doing it.

So here we are, and CNN reports today that they’re about to start taxing Ipod downloads. It seems that it was no big deal when few people were doing them, but now that it’s a mass fad, well there’s money to be made, fleecing them sheep!

At what point will the American people get fed up with all this routine ignoring of the Constitution and Bill of Rights? Will they ever, or will they just shrug their shoulders and figure it’s just government as usual. Time will tell. Who is John Galt?

Democracy Exposed #1

"From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." - Karl Marx
Or: "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." - Spock

Democracy is forming a mob and enslaving everyone else to pay for your most frivolous whims.

Last year, the City of Lakewood, Colorado ( a western suburb of Denver ) said in a community newspaper that they were so short of money that they might need to start shutting off street lights at night. When government wants the sheeple to pony up more money in a hurry, and gladly ( vote for a tax increase ), have you ever noticed how they threaten to cut the things that people consider the most vital essential government services? Street lights, police, fire...?

When our car was broken into last June, the dash ripped out and the stereo stolen, they said they didn't have the money to investigate it and try to catch the ones who did it. They wanted to take a report over the phone. Call your insurance company to pay for it. They said they have hundreds of car break-ins every night. It's no wonder why. It could be the same guys, knowing they'll never be caught. And of course not catching the perps makes our insurance costs go up too.

Every once in awhile in the evening, I drive by Deane Elementary School here in Lakewood. They have a baseball field for pee wee baseball. Uniforms and everything. And it's not good enough for these three foot tall school children to play baseball in the day time, no. They have to have night games, like the real pros.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can exist only until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse ( gifts ) from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. - Alexander Fraser Tytler (later Lord Alexander Fraser Woodhouslee), in "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic," published 1776.

But it's dark at night, so they needed lights. So they tapped into the tax slaves even more. It wasn't enough to build the "field of dreams" for these kids, complete with fences and side fields for practice and warmup while the games are going on. They put up light poles with what appear to be 1000 watt lights, for their night games.

"Nothing is too good for our kids, as long as someone else pays for it", right?

I count about a dozen light poles with two lights each. If they're 1000 watts per light, that's 24,000 watts. Can you imagine the light bill when they play a 3 hour night game, which they appear to do several nights a week? Could you pay that kind of bill?

Just put it on the tax slaves' tab.

What if....

What if, in a worst case scenario, all the socialist countries joined forces with the islamofascist countries, to cut off all their combined oil to the United States, in an attempt to bring this country down? We have Venezuela and Mexico to the south of us, which are already under socialist control.

What would happen in such a worst case scenario?

Because I think that global socialist forces are intending just such a coup against the United States.

I think that illustrates why it's in our national security interest to become independent if foreign oil right away, not in 20 years or 50 years, now. And that's why we need to push for an emergency program to power this entire country with safe clean nuclear power, and use excess capacity to produce fuels for mobile vehicle use.

A RATIONAL PLAN FOR ENDING THE ILLEGAL INVASION OF THE U.S.

Global Socialism Attacking The U.S. in Concert

Has anyone noticed that we're getting attacked on all fronts by the global socialists now? France has riots of them, who oppose a law that allows people to be laid off from jobs. This country has 11 million illegals, many of whom are demonstrating in the streets against laws that would try to stop it.

The Socialist Democrats are attacking everything Bush does, right or wrong. They don't even want child rapists sent to prison for minimum 25 year terms by passing Jessica's Law all over the country.

Barbara Streisand will be raising $150 million on tour this fall, to give to the campaign for comrade Commisar Hillary, who will probably spend more than anyone ever has in any previous election race.

Diane Feinstein is pushing for more gunbans, this time .50 cal rifles.

The Euro Socialists are still giving moral support to al qaeda and the Saddamists in Iraq, doing everything they can to make sure the U.S. fails there.

They're doing everything they can to bring down America.

And now there's an American-hating socialist running for President in Mexico, who's best of friends with marxists Fidel Castro, and Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.

Between Mexico and Venezuela, they control 40% of U.S. oil imports, so they can really start putting the hurts on us if that comrade gets elected.

China is holding so many U.S. dollars that they could throw the economy into a spin just by dropping them now, and they may be waiting for the right moment when it would combine with these other things to nail the U.S. into the ground.

It's a never-ending attack fest on the U.S. and the globalist Socialists won't stop until this country is totally under the socialist fist.

It reminds me of "Atlas Shrugged".

My mom died yesterday, and if that wasn’t bad enough…

The Final Abuse By The State

The wonders of modern technology. I was out for a 2 mile walk yesterday, had my cell phone with me and decided to give my sister a call. She told me my mom had just died. I had to learn that while out walking down the street.

She was 81 and had been pretty close to it for the past year, in fact we didn't think she'd make it through last year. She'd been sick for years, diabetic and with heart attacks and bypass surgery. They almost killed her with that stupid coumadin drug, in fact that may have contributed to her death this week. The last time I was down there, she was literally bleeding from her skin because of the stuff. It’s the same chemical that they put in rat poison, that makes the rats bleed to death internally. We think the doctor was a quack for giving her so much of it, but she wouldn’t change doctors at her age.

Her brother, her only sibling died a couple of weeks ago and that was pretty hard on her too. But she was ok last Monday. Then during the week, I heard that she'd suffered an apparent stroke, couldn't use her left side and could no longer talk as of Thursday. As of Friday they said she wasn’t responding at all. But she was so tired of bouncing back and forth from the hospital, she wanted to stay at home, so they let her this time. They promised her that she wouldn’t have to go back to the hospital or a nursing home again.

So we were out shopping yesterday and my sister called me on my cell phone and said that things weren’t looking well for her, but they had promised her before that she wouldn’t have to go back to the hospital again, so they were letting her stay at home. But she told me that it had turned into more of a home hospice situation now. So we came home and I decided to go for that walk, to work off some of the stress from hearing that.

They had a nurse staying with her every day though and then when I called my sister later while out for the walk, she told me that the nurse had discovered that she had passed away. By the time the nurse discovered that, they figure she may have been dead about an hour. So the nurse probably screwed up by calling 911 instead of a funeral home or something. Instead of just leaving it be, they sent paramedics over with an ambulance, as if it was an emergency. They rushed in and started heroic resuscitation efforts! On someone who had been dead for about an hour! Shoving a tube down her throat, starting CPR, everything they’d do to try to save a living person!

My dad tried to stop them and pulled out her living will, from the late 80's, that said she didn't want heroic revival attempts, or to be kept alive by a machine. But they said the living will was more than 5 years old and was no longer valid by Florida law and they were legally required to stick tubes in her, make these heroic efforts and take her to the hospital, even though she'd already been dead for about an hour! State dictated abuse of a corpse! As if they don’t do enough to people when they’re alive, they have to do this kind of thing to them after they die too!

Then they said they were taking her to a nearby hospital that both my parents had told me in the past that they wouldn’t even send a dog to, they hated the place and thought it was horrible.

My sister said it made my dad crazy but there was nothing he could do. The paramedics shoved him into another room so he wouldn’t have to see it all. I called my dad on the cell phone, while still walking home, after hearing this news from my sister. I heard his anguish at what had happened but tried to comfort him by telling him that it didn’t matter what lousy hospital they took her to, there was nothing they could do to hurt her anymore.

My sister drove down there and took my dad to the hospital where they were met by staff who simply offered condolences. I guess they finally figured enough was enough.

Memo: Some of Melissa's Pet Peeves

“Doctors office recording: “If this is an emergency, please hang up and dial 911”. No shit Sherlock! Talk about treating people as if they’re stupid! This one must have been dictated by medical lawyers!

When you call a business to discuss your account with them: “May I have permission to access your account?” ( more federal privacy rules bullshit! ) No shit Sherlock! I’m calling you! You should need permission from me for someone ELSE to access my account, but not for ME to access my OWN ACCOUNT!

And speaking of the stupid federal privacy rules that are invading all aspects of our lives now: When I got to the pharmacy at the grocery store and now they make me pay separately for my prescription, instead of being able to take it to the checkout line with my groceries and pay for both with the same check. Why? Oh, Big Brother doesn’t want the checkout clerks being able to “invade our privacy” by possibly seeing the label on the prescription bag! How stupid is THAT?! First of all, the clerks are shuffling your stuff through at a mile a minute. Secondly, why would they give a crap? They don’t even know my name? Why not stop the government intrusion into my life and leave that decision up to me?! If I’m that paranoid, I can tell the pharmacy that I want to pay there! Duh! But nooooO! We live in an authoritarian dictatorship now, where the government has to dictate every aspect of our lives. Or as one politician put it, if there isn’t a government regulation for it, why it’s “anarchy”! ( Yes, I actually heard someone say that on cable news! ) How did people ever live their lives over past millenia without THAT?!

Seniors and disabled now victims of the War On Some Drug Users: U.S. stopping drugs at Canadian border

Another way our government is initiating force against us.:

I just called my Canadian pharmacy to check the price of a drug I need, and they told me that the U.S. government is stopping, inspecting and siezing drugs from Canada at the border now!

They specifically told me it was "because they're pushing Medicare Part D", which we all know helps line the pockets of the U.S. drug companies with tax slave money, while doing little for actual Medicare recipients.

I also have hard proof that at least one major drug company is selling only brand names inside the U.S. and charging top dollar for them, while selling a generic of the same drug outside the U.S. at a fraction of the price!

This would be no problem if the U.S. government wasn't initiating force against U.S. consumers and preventing them from buying Rx drugs from wherever they wanted in the world! But our government is doing just that, while robbing the American tax slaves to pay top dollars for brand name drugs and lining the pockets of their drug company lobbyist friends!

That pharmacy just told me that they could act as a broker to get me drugs from UK, Switzerland or India and that those would have "a better chance of getting through U.S. customs without being stopped", but that the U.S. government is specifically stopping and checking for Canadian Rx drugs and siezing them!

So this has become a drug smuggling game for seniors and disabled people who can't afford to pay top dollar for artificially inflated drug prices that the government controls for the purpose of lining the pockets of their drug company lobbyist friends.

Americans are dying for lack of affordable prescription drugs because the government is artificially controlling the market so they can't freely buy them!

Please write your legislators and demand that this drug war against elderly and disabled Americans ( as well as all the rest of us! ) be stopped immediately!

( you may send them a copy of this! )
